Naturally Blended Grey 4ply – 50g Ball
A Yarn with Story and Character
Inspired by the wild hills and valleys of the Scottish Borders, our Naturally Blended Grey 4ply carries a sense of place and history. The wool reflects the type bred in the Ewes Valley, where hardy sheep have grazed for generations and where, centuries ago, our ancestors once roamed the hills – living the tough Border life and perhaps even reiving and raiding in the days of the Border Reivers.
This yarn connects tradition, landscape, and craft, bringing a piece of Border heritage into every stitch.
Lightweight, Pure Wool with a Natural Finish.
Discover the beauty of undyed wool with Burnfoot Wools Naturally Blended Grey 4ply yarn. Spun from a carefully balanced blend of 72% New Zealand Romney/South Country Cheviot, 20% Bluefaced Leicester and 8% Coloured Shetland & Cheviot, this yarn offers strength, softness, and a gentle rustic character that enhances both simple and intricate knitting.
Why You’ll Love It
Delicately Fine, Yet Strong – This 4ply yarn provides the perfect balance of durability and softness, ideal for intricate stitch work and lightweight garments.
Pure, Natural Fibre – Made from premium Romney/South Country Cheviot wool blended with Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland fibres, freshly sheared in 2025 and left in its naturally blended grey shade.
Naturally Beautiful – A soft grey tone straight from the fleece itself — undyed and free from chemicals.
